  • 10th Anniversary, August 2018

On the passing of Rev. Zenko Okimura, the guiding light on our Aikido path.

Okimura Shihan’s journey to ultimate Peace and Tranquility transitioned on March 7, 2022, to the spiritual realm. Although we will no longer practice with him physically, his enormous compassion, love, and care will live on within us. Compassion and Love are beyond time and space and now reside in our hearts. Okimura Shihan’s guiding light has not been extinguished, but is closer than ever as it lights our path from within. Our lives will always be filled with this ultimate blessing even while we mourn his passing. Memorial services will be held in Newark, Delaware, on July 16th, 2022.
